Safety information for an Australian reader
The policy below is labelled for Colorado and retains that geographic scope. Its state-specific notices and services should not be interpreted as Australian procedures or guarantees.
Start with resources relevant to where you are
For first meetings, unwanted contact and suspicious requests, read the Australian dating safety guide. The eSafety Commissioner's online dating guidance offers an Australian reference for privacy, warning signs and responding to abuse.
A platform report is not emergency assistance
Use official support for account concerns. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services rather than waiting for a website response. Keep relevant messages where it is safe to do so, without reposting another person's private health information.
Read the live Colorado policy for current provider wording. This introduction does not extend that policy to Australia or replace advice about your circumstances.

We offer a selfie verification feature and users may have the option to select a third-party service to conduct a verification using information provided by the Member. Those who successfully pass the verification may receive a "Verified" badge on their profile.
While we do not conduct any criminal background checks, background checks, or any other screening of its Members or any other users of its Services. While we aim to foster a respectful and secure user experience, we do not represent, guarantee, or warrant the behavior, accuracy of information, or suitability of any Member or other user, whether on or off our Service.
It's important to note that no verification or background check process can guarantee safety. Always exercise caution when meeting people online or in person. For additional safety tips, refer to our
Safety Tips.
What actions are taken when a user is reported for violating the rules?
We treat all reports of misconduct seriously and review them promptly. If we find that a user has violated our Terms or Community Guidelines, we take appropriate action. Depending on the severity of the violation, this can range from a warning to a hold. For more details about RESTRICTIONS or CODE OF CONDUCT, please refer to our
End User Service Agreement.
Users have the right to appeal actions taken against their accounts. The appeal process is available on our
Feedback.
Are users notified when a report about another user's misconduct is received?
In compliance with Colorado law, we will notify users in the message box if they have communicated with a member whose account has been placed on hold for reasons such as fraudulent behavior. Fraudulent behavior includes actions that indicate an attempt to scam others, such as using a false identity or engaging in deceptive practices for personal gain.
